UNITED NATIONS: Israel was responsible for six serious incidents during its three-week Gaza offensive which caused deaths, injuries or damage, a UN report said Tuesday.
Nine incidents were investigated by United Nations Headquarters Board of Inquiry, after UN buildings were bombed in incidents blamed on Israel.
"In six of the nine incidents the board concluded that the death, injuries and damage involved were caused by military actions, using munitions launched or dropped from the air or fired from the ground, by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)," the report said.
The headquarters for the UN Palestinian relief organization (UNRWA) was damaged during the offensive along with several schools during the three-week war in which more than 1,400 Palestinians died.
Israel had blasted the UN report before it was submitted to the Security Council on Tuesday, branding it biased toward the Islamist group Hamas and misleading.
