LAHORE: Pakistan’s middle-order batsman Mohammad Yousuf Saturday said he had snapped his ties with Indian Cricket League (ICL), a rebel Indian league, and was available to play for the country.
He said that as Shoaib Malik is not captaining the national team now so he is ready to join the team.
In an exclusive talk with Geo News, Mohammad Yousuf said that this has always been his first priority to represent Pakistan cricket team as Pakistan has given him a name in cricket.
He said that he never went to play Indian Cricket League for money but that time Shoaib Malik was the captain of the Pakistan cricket team and his behavior with senior players was inappropriate due to which he was compelled to go to play ICL.
Mohammad Yousuf said that he is continuously going through training and ready for making a comeback in the team.
He said that now Shoaib Malik has been replaced by Younus Khan as captain of the national team and he wants to play under Younus.
Yousuf said that he has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board regarding his quitting the ICL and his availability for Pakistan team.
