Relationship with parents: BY Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi RA
1. Never be disrespectful to parents. Do not say a harsh word to them.
2. Even if parents are unjust, it is not lawful for children to ill-treat, disobey or displease them.
3. Obey them in all lawful things. If they instruct you to do anything which is unlawful in the Sharee'ah , then politely and with respect and apology decline. Never refuse rudely nor argue with them.
4. When parents abuse, scold or even beat their children, they should submit to such treatment with humility. Never should they utter a word of disrespect or complaint, nor should they display on their faces any indication of disgust or anger. Bear their treatment in silence and with patience. Make du'aa for them.
5. Assist them in all lawful ways even if they happen to be non-Muslims.
6. Whenever you see them, greet them.
7. If you are living with them, take their permission before going anywhere. Inform them of your whereabouts.
8. If you are engaged in Nafl Salaat and your parents call you, break your Salaat and answer their call, even if there is no urgency or importance in their call. If you are performing Fardh Salaat and you detect urgency in their call, then break even the Fardh Salaat to answer their call.
9. Do not call them on their names. Address them with a title of respect and honour.
10. After death, make du'aa of forgiveness for them. Pray for their forgiveness and within your means, practice virtuous deeds with the intention of the thawaab thereof being bestowed on them by Allah .
11. Pay the debts of your parents.
12. If they had made any lawful wasiyyat (bequest), fulfil it if you are by the means to do so.
13. Be kind, respectful and helpful to the friends of your parents.
14. When entering the private room of parents, seek their permission before entering.
15. Always be cheerful in their presence.
16. Speak kindly and tenderly with them.
17. When speaking to parents, keep your gaze low. Do not stare them in the face.
18. Do not raise your voice above the voices of your parents.
19. Be humble in their presence.
20. When accompanying parents on a walk, do not walk in front of them nor on the right or left side. Walk slightly behind them.
21. Even in their absence, speak highly and respectfully of them.
22. Do not give preference to the wife over them (this does not apply to the rights of the wife. Where parents instruct their son to violate or discard the obligatory rights of his wife, it will not be permissible to obey them in this case.)
23. Always endeavour to keep them happy.
24. Do not embark on a journey without their permission.
25. When they question you, do not inconvenience them by delaying your reply.
26. It is highly disrespectful to refrain from answering them.
27. If at any time you were disrespectful to your parents, regret your action and hasten to obtain their pardon.

World Cup and Allah's will
Allah(SWT) has strange ways to show us his power and turns the things the way he wants. I see so many messages in this world cup, which I have been noticing since the beginning. Pakistan all of sudden got up and ended up with one of the very strong team in the whole of world cup from where it was almost certain that it won’t even pass 1st round and like the last two world cup they will be knocked out before quarter final. But they actually surprised the whole nation and kept themselves on top of the group.
Afridi XI has brought the nation a hope, a hope of wining. The whole nation was pretty happy that they will bring the cup home, unfortunately that did not happened. Right when we started to expect a great reception to our team, all the dreams were shattered, everyone was so quite. Although streets were quite the whole day, we could hear screaming, television sounds from almost every house in
Yes it’s just a game and that day was not Pakistan’s day, but why only that day, what happened to all the players on that particular day, when many of them who were good fielders started misfielding, batting calculation was not right nor shot selection were? And top of all, so much prayers. Probably Allah had to teach us a hidden lesson. Where there were so many prayers, there were so much khurafat going around, not only things that are strictly prohibited, music, dancing, mix gathering of girls and guys who were shamelessly dancing in public, where our media was promoting that to promote themselves, but also so much money been wasted, you could have heard firing from so many houses, where each bullet that cost 45 Rs. is more than cost of one time food for an small family who are starving to death. This would be one reason we couldn’t have that complete happiness.
I’m not discussing how important is this cricket to us and how much interest we should give, nothing halal or haram, that is a whole different topic. Right now just the things that should be pointed out during this process. Another very interesting thing I noticed, which actually made me write this article. When Allah has to give some one a respect or when Allah wants to make someone a Hero, Allah will do that regardless of the situation and our imagination. As I mentioned above, as a nation our expectation were so high that the only thing we were now expecting was to give huge reception to the team with the cup and since that didn’t happen, the world had thought now the reception would be with eggs and tomatoes, but Afridi apologizing to the nation changed everything. And where he may not have gotten that love from the nation if he would have brought that cup, because it would have been shared with the cup or may be even cup might have won the love over Afridi, now people of Pakistan were only expressing their love to him, and how he is the hero even remember what he did with the team to bring them up united to semi final. You can see new, article, poems and etc full love nations love to him and making him our Hero. This really makes me wonder how Allah plans things we cannot ever imagine.
Here is one more thing shown to us as a lesson, the power of word “SORRY” how this one word changed everything, the anger, criticism all were forgotten and poems were written, wishes were sent, specially to this one man. This teaches us, we all can even make mistake and if we apologize, we would not be led down, instead we may get even more respect than we would have eventually got.
May Allah guide us to the right path and may we understand our mistake as this life is very short, we have to prepare for the eternal life and that is the only way which our beloved Profit Muhammad (SAWW) has showed us. Ameen.

Shahid no need to say Sorry...
One thing I really like about this guys Afridi is enthusiasm, has a good sense of humor and quite friendly. At a point where team just started to built up, with bowlers like Asif and Amir, conspiracies for our team destroyed the teams by taking away those talent. But something by the grace of Allah good happened and that gave a chance for us to see Shahid Affridi as a captain. Although initially he failed, but he really started to build up the team. It begin from where the team was expected to be out in the 1st round and was being compared with teas like Bangladesh, but this thanks thanks to Shahid, who really surprised us with his captaincy and even leading from the front and got the team so ahead of expectation. Even after that, he apologized to the nation.
We still love you Shahid and best of luck ahead.
